Southside Campus
At Shepherd of the Woods School, your child will build a strong foundation to be a successful, Christian citizen who is well prepared for elementary school. Your child will learn that learning is a journey that takes time and that “I can!”

Southside Campus
In Shepherd of the Woods School’s small Kindergarten class your child will receive a strong academic foundation and be nurtured academically, socially, and emotionally. Our small class and small school helps your child build the confidence needed to begin a successful academic journey.
With our blended learning model, your child will:
- Receive small group, direct instruction from our teachers.
- Complete collaborative and independent work to sharpen academic skills.
- Use adaptive, computer-based learning to grow academic skills.
You and your child receive:
- Specific feedback on your child’s academic level from the Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment.
- Regular feedback on your child’s mastery and growth in academic skills.
Our parents enjoy:
- Consistent communication between home and school through emails and apps.
- Access 24/7 to student progress.
- Regular family and service activities.
We accept students younger than 5 years old as of September 1 into Kindergarten based on social, emotional, and academic maturity.

In our Upper (6th-8th grade) class, your child will be able to take Florida Virtual School classes as needed for varied learning opportunities.
You and your child receive:

Student Services
We provide support services to help all children succeed. We partner with Duval County’s Parentally Placed Private School Students program, Title I, and Great Strides Rehabilitation to provide services during the school day for the family’s convenience.

At Shepherd of the Woods School, your child will have the opportunity to participate in multiple extra-curricular activities.

Virtual Summer Preschool Program
Tuesdays and Thursdays— your child will enjoy a live virtual opening session
and a live small group session each day between 9am and noon with our preschool teacher and hands-on activities for your child to do at home all week!

Kindergarten Readiness Camp
Building skills needed for the first day of Kindergarten and beyond!
Incoming Kindergarteners will be prepared for success by:

Summer School
Academic enrichment, maintenance, or remediation.
This extended school year program provides enrichment, maintenance, and remediation of academic skills in a fun, values-based environment. Students enjoy structured learning activities in a blended learning environment that includes small group instruction, collaborative work, and computer-assisted instruction. Students will develop social, emotional, and academic skills through hands-on learning.

Virtual Tutoring
Choose one or two hours a week of one-on-one virtual instruction. Your child will also receive a week of individualized assignments to strengthen the targeted areas.
4-week session
